PROJECT ENGINEER - CIVIL INFRASTRUCTURE
(Site based – 12 months contract)


Requirement:

1. Min. Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering.
2. Min. 10 years experience preferably in Mining or Civil Construction with a developed knowledge of Civil Earthworks. Landforms such as dams, large drains, roads, foundations, gabion structures and light buildings.
3. A strong commitment to J Resources workplace Health and Safety systems.
4. Well-developed plan reading skills and understanding of engineering specifications.
5. Self-motivated, with ability to perform under limited supervision.
6. Good written and spoken English preferred.

Reporting to the Project Engineering Lead, your tasks shall include:

1. Ensuring that civil infrastructure (mainly landforms), shown in prepared engineering plans and specifications, is constructed accordingly by contractors of varying skill levels,
2. Coordinate between your Engineering Lead and contractors to solve any design or construction conflicts that may arise,
3. Develop and implement an operational plan for completing your tasks; monitor and report progress and performance against the plan; and minimise delays.
4. Identify, develop, and gather the resources necessary to complete your tasks. This may include review or preparation of engineering specifications and design, project schedules, budgets and forecasts; and selecting materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors.
5. Estimate and track cost, resources, and schedules related to your engineering tasks,
6. Make recommendations regarding resources to ensure these targets are met.
7. Liaise with your engineering lead and the earthworks manager where specialised resources and external contributions may be required,
8. Conduct project meetings and prepare regular reports,
9. Set priorities, allocate tasks, and coordinate project staff to meet project targets and milestones.
10. Coach and mentor sub ordinates and assist them to solve problems.


PROJECT ENGINEER - CIVIL AND STRUCTURAL
(Site based – 12 months contract)

Requirement:

PROJECT ENGINEER - STRUCTURAL/MECHANICAL PLATEWORK & PIPING (SMPP)
(Site based – 12 months contract)

Requirement:

1. Min. Bachelor Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
2. Min. 8 years experiences, preferably in Mining or Construction.
3. A strong commitment to J Resources workplace Health and Safety systems.
4. Well-developed working knowledge of construction and design aspects of Structural, Mechanical Platework & Piping.
5. Developed design, computer and process skills.
6. Self-motivated, with ability to perform under limited supervision.
7. Good written and spoken English preferred.

Reporting to the Project Engineering Lead, your tasks shall include:

1. Ensuring that SMPP items shown in prepared engineering plans, and described in specifications, are constructed/installed accordingly by contractors of varying skill levels,
2. Coordinate between your Engineering Lead, suppliers and contractors to solve any design or construction conflicts that may arise during construction,
3. Communicate, implement and continually improve your operational plan. Monitor progress and performance against the plan; take action to resolve issues and minimise delays.
4. Identify, monitor, and gather (where required) resources necessary to complete your tasks. This may include preparing engineering standards, designs and work specifications; developing project schedules, budgets and forecasts; and selecting materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors.
5. Estimate and track cost, resources, and schedules related to your engineering tasks,
6. Liaise with your engineering lead where specialised resources and external contributions may be required,
7. Conduct project meetings and prepare regular reports

PROJECT ENGINEER ELECTRICAL & INSTRUMENTATION
(Site based – 12 months contract)

Requirement:

1. Min. Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering.
2. Min. 10 years experiences, preferably in Mining or Construction
3. A strong commitment to J Resources workplace Health and Safety systems.
4. Proficient with design and installation of Industrial Electrical Systems & Instrumentation.
5. Developed design, computer and process skills.
6. Self-motivated, with ability to perform under limited supervision.
7. Good written and spoken English preferred.

Reporting to the Project Engineering Lead, your tasks shall include:

1. Ensuring that E&I items shown in prepared engineering plans, and described in specifications, are installed accordingly by contractors of varying skill levels,
2. Coordinate between your Engineering Lead, suppliers and contractors to solve any design or construction conflicts that may arise,
3. Communicate, implement and continually improve, your operational plan. Monitor progress and performance against the plan; take action to resolve issues and minimise delays.

DRAFTSMAN
(Site based – 12 months contract)

Requirement:

1. Min. SMA/D1 or Equivalent.
2. Min. 8 years experience, preferably in a Construction or Mining environment.
3. A strong commitment to J Resources workplace Health and Safety systems.
4. Well developed skill operating AutoCad Land Desktop (Surpac as an addition would be highly regarded).
5. The ability to mentally conceptualise landforms and structures and to translate these thoughts to drawings,
6. Self-motivated, with ability to perform under limited supervision.
7. Some spoken English preferred - but not essential.

Reporting to the Project Engineer, your tasks shall include:

1. Production of high accuracy design drawings,
2. Calculation of volumes, areas and other quantities using your drawings as a basis,
3. Reviewing drawings submitted by contractors and raising related issues with the project engineer,
4. Coordination between engineering and surveying where required,
5. Assist engineers with measurement of site activities and contributing to work packages.
6. Prepare as-built drawings based on supplied information,
7. Provide other documents to Project Team as requested and maintain project drawings.


PROCESS PLANT STRUCTURAL/MECHANICAL SUPERVISOR
(Site based – 12 months contract)

Requirement:

1. Min. D3 or equivalent industry experience.
2. Min. 10 years experience, preferably with gold plant and crusher construction.
3. A strong commitment to J Resources workplace Health and Safety systems.
4. Well-developed knowledge of structural and mechanical aspect of gold plant and material handling systems. A knowledge of jetty construction also highly regarded.
5. Competency in computer based reporting and communications.
6. Self-motivated, with ability to perform under limited supervision.
7. Good written and spoken English preferred.

Reporting to the Structural and Mechanical Coordinator, your tasks shall include:

1. Co-ordinating with contractors and J Resources OH&S personnel to develop relevant JSA s and other documents to contribute to a safe working environment.
2. Monitoring contractor and Company work tasks ensuring that workers have fully understood specific tasks so work can be completed safely, in a timely manner to a standard that supports J Resources quality standards,
3. Implementing owner team work tasks, ensuring workers have fully understood specific tasks so work can be completed safely, in a timely manner to a standard that supports J Resources quality standards,
4. Coordinate with the Structural and Mechanical Coordinator to efficiently utilize available resources.
5. Supervise your crew or contractors (as necessary) to ensure work tasks are undertaken safely and according to schedule, actively provide training in the field to increase competence of subordinates work skills.


UNDERGROUND SERVICES & PIPING SUPERVISOR
(Site based – 12 months contract)

Requirement:

1. Min. D3 or Equivalent.
2. Min. 10 years experience, preferably in Mining and Construction.
3. Advanced understanding of installation of underground services their interaction.
4. Competency in computer based reporting and communications.
5. Self-motivated, with ability to perform under limited supervision.
6. Good written and spoken English preferred.

Reporting to the Mechanical and Civil Construction Lead, your tasks shall include:

1. Co-ordinating with contractors and J Resources OH&S personnel to develop relevant JSA s and other documents to contribute to a safe working environment.
