POSITION DESCRIPTION
ENVIRONMENTAL OFFICERS
PT Gemala Borneo Utama (GBU) is exploring for gold, silver and base metals on Romang Island in the Maluku Barat Daya region of Indonesia. To support the work of the exploration team, Environment Officers are required to meet best practice standards in regards to Environmental Responsibility giving attention to quality of monitoring and rehabilitation.
Reporting jointly to the GBU site-manager and the HSEC Coordinator and liaising with the Exploration field teams, Community Relations Officers, and the Health and Safety Officers, the Environmental Officer will give priority to ensuring compliance of environmental performance standards for GBU on Romang Island.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitoring and compliane
• Develop an Environmental Management System in line the specifications of Indonesian law and ISO 1400
• Monitor all environments that are directly or indirectly by GBU s work on Romang Island to access environmental quality
• Assess exploration equipment according to environmental laws / regulation standards
• Develop systems and procedures that ensures environmental performance compliance and remediation work
• Administer and supervise the implementation of programs around waste management, revegetation, chemical hazard and pollution control
• Facilitate and participate in Environmental Baselines and Environmental Impact Assessments and help develop monitoring systems around these studies (AMDAL, RKL/RPL)
• Mentor and train local environment officers to monitor company environmental performance and assess environmental quality
Communications and Reporting
• Regularly meet with the exploration team to discuss GBU exploration plans and align environmental work to exploration work
• Ensure all aspects of environmental work is regularly reported to the GBU management and senior exploration staff
• Help prepare reports on AMDAL, RKL/ RPL
• Ensure communication to the Community Relations team if there is an environmental incident
• Prepare Environmental Incident Reports if there is a breach of environmental performance and compliance and prepare remediation and rehabilitation plans
• Ensure record keeping with the HSEC Coordinator
• Undertake community awareness and education programs as appropriate
REQUIREMENTS
• Diploma degree (D3) or Bachelor Degree in Environmental Engineer/ Science
• Minimum three (3) years experiences in similar roles in Mining Industry
• Having knowledge in Environmental Impact Assessment (Amdal), public health issues, Reclamation, controlling/ sampling on water and air pollution
• Understand about environmental reporting, and environmental issues
• Familiar with the environmental regulations
• Certificated with several Environmental courses / training
• Good communication skills, written – verbal, both in English and Bahasa
• Able working without supervision
• Ready worked in remote area

PERFORMANCE
Yearly performance review will be based on the delivery of Performance Objectives that will be based on the above Responsibilities and developed in collaboration with the HSEC Coordinator.
FINANCE OFFICER
Description:
• Inputting data from payment and receipt vouchers to the accounting system on a daily basis
• Ensuring that the payment are made on time
• Preparing cash voucher, bank voucher, bank reconciliation and make sure the attached documents are completed
• Maintaining book and accounts, preparing files and financial report
• Prepared Monthly Financial Report (PL & BS)
• Check petty cash transaction and administration within agreed limit, verified cash count every day
• Prepared monthly Cash and bank reconciliation
• Budget Planning and controlling status of project budgets
• Tax Report
Requirement:
- Female max 35 years old
- Bachelor degree from reputable university in accounting
- Minimal 4 years experience in the same position especially in mining industry
- Accounting software (MYOB)
- Have a good ability to examine & verify finance documents/report
- Having excellent knowing of tax, accounting principles, financial reporting, cash flows and budgeting
- Good leadership with good interpersonal and organization skills
- Mature, highly motivated, accurate in details and commit to deadline
