BJU is providing a broader scope of Professional Mining Services with greater focus on long term projects that include Mine Management, Operational Improvements, EPC for Coal and Mineral Processing, Coal Chain Management, Fixed and Mobile Plant Maintenance, as well as routine and Technical Studies and Consultancy.
The Britmindo team includes qualified expatriate and Indonesian mining engineers, geologists and other key disciplines who work at Jakarta Head Office as well as the BJU Balikpapan office and various site locations throughout Indonesia.

Due to our rapid growth, we are looking for suitably qualified and professional candidates to fill the following positions:
 
1. PROJECT MANAGER
 
Responsibilities:
 

The Manager will lead the mining discipline, driving a culture of teamwork and performance to ensure continued growth and success by achieving key commercial, safety and business targets.
 
Requirements:
 

• Bachelor Degree in Mining Engineer
• Minimum 10 years experiences in mining in similar role
• A proven talent for identification and management of opportunities and risks by overlaying contractual, financial, and technical awareness in a similar operating environment is essential.
• Outstanding leadership credentials and the ability to drive results will set the successful candidate apart from industry peers.
• Willing to work extended hours to meet deadlines.
• Comprehensive knowledge of mining management principles and practices.
• Has skills such as initiative, technical ,problem solving, creative thinking, reporting communication skill: written & Verbal in English and Indonesian, information monitoring planning & organizing, attention to details, meeting facilitation and negotiation
• Preferably held a “POU” Mining Indonesia competency certificate
• Strong commitment to safety


 
2. MINE PLAN ENGINEER
 
Responsibilities:
 

• Prepare short and long term mine plan ( production and project)
• Prepare periodic reports and production reconciliation as required
• Actively contribute to positive teamwork
• Communicate openly and honestly at all times

 
Requirements:
 

• Graduate Mining Engineer
• A minimum of 3 years experience in Mine Planning
• Capability to operating Minescape and Minex software
• Previous management and supervisory experience in a production coal mine
• Preferably held a “POP” Mining Indonesia competency certificate
• Strong commitment to safety and high professional standards of performance
• Good communication skills, written – verbal, both in English and Bahasa
• Ready worked in remote area

 
3. SENIOR MINE ENGINEER
 
Responsibilities:
 

• Open pit mine planning, optimisation and design studies
• Project management and co-ordination
• Business development
• Managing and developing consultant under supervision
• Report and proposal writing
• Liaising with clients and other consultants

 
Requirements:
 

• Bachelor degree in Mining Engineering
• Minimum 7 years experience as senior engineer or similar roles preferably in Mining Consultant.
• Experience in mine design concepts and operations in mining, scheduling and planning
• Capability to operating and familiar with Minescape (open cut) & Xpac software
• Previous management and supervisory experience in a production coal mine
• Experience in reporting and proposal writing in Bahasa and English
• Ready to traveling in remote areas
• Strong commitment to safety and high professional standards of performance
• Good communication skills, written – verbal, both in English and Bahasa
• Willing to work in Balikpapan

 
4. MECHANIC FOREMAN / TRAINER
 
Responsibilities:
 

This position is a frontline role and is responsible for day to day maintenance activities, HE equipment training delivery, establish high performance for Health, Safety and Environmental, coordinating and implemented pre-ventative maintenance initiatives and activities so that production targets can be achieved.
 
Requirements:
 

• Senior High School or Senior Technical School, Diploma (3) would be preferred.
• Minimum 5 years experience as Foreman /Leading Hand.
• Familiar with training delivery equipment (all around HE equipment)
• Previous experience in similar role.
• Good communication skills, written and verbal.
• Computer literacy is preferred.

 
5. MAINTENANCE PLANNER
 
Responsibilities:
 

• To implement preventative maintenance schedules and repair.
• Service of equipment accordance to this procedure.
• Ensure availability target are achieved.
• Manage plant on site in accordance with procedures and manufacturers recommendations and to advise optimum levels of utilization, availability and cost effectiveness.
• Coordinate with site staff to ensure plant on is maintained accordance with procedures and manufactures recommendations and to advise optimum levels of utilization, availability and cost effectiveness.
• Developing mechanic skill and knowledge about heavy equipment (instructor)

 
Requirements:
 

• Graduate Technical high School –Mechanical engineer
• Recognized Trade and/or mechanical engineering qualifications.
• Minimum 3 years industrial experience in a combination of mining and construction industries, with at least 2 years in mining.
• Excellent communication skills, written - verbal, both in English and Bahasa. Presents arguments, facts and instruction in a clear, fluent and convincing manner.
• Computer literacy.

 
6. MINING ENGINEER
 
Responsibilities:

7. SAFETY OFFICER
 
Responsibilities:
 

• Provide HS&E management information, advice and assistance to all staff to ensure safe, healthy and acci-dent free work environments and the compliance with the company HS&E policy and procedures and leg-islative requirements.
• Remain all elements of OHS&E (including project elements) to improve safety performance.
• Actively contribute to a positive teamwork environment at all times.
• Communicate openly and honestly at all times.

 
Requirements:
 

• Relevant qualification in engineering or similar discipline.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role.
• Have knowledge in legislative and statutory requirements.
• Good communication skills, written and verbal, both in English and Bahasa.
• Computer literate.
